My name is Jill and I am a dog walker serving Alnwick and the surrounding villages. I live in Embleton with my husband, my two daughters and my two dogs. When I first started my business in 2015 we had Shola a 14 year old rescue dog who we had from 3 years old. Sadly in 2019, aged 17 we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. Life just became too much of a struggle. We also had Sammy our border collie who came to us at 9 months old and was just 6 years old when Shola left her. She needed a companion who would keep up with her and be fun to play with. We were so lucky to be able to rehome Milo a 2 year old Springer Spaniel who is completely bonkers and keeps us all entertained. Three years on and he is well and truly part of our family.

 

I have worked for the government department DEFRA for nearly 10 years & unfortunately in 2015 was made rdundant as the department was privitised and eventually our work was off shored. As I have two young children it was important to find a job that was going to fit in with my family commitments and being a dog walker seemed the perfect choice. I have been lucky enough to take on the customers of Northumbrian Pets, who have ceased trading and also secured lots of new customers of my own.
